Busy Little Book Club is a monthly book subscription for kids with a mission to bring playtime and storytime together, build connection between parents/caregivers and their child, and foster an early love of reading and learning.

We send monthly book boxes to children ages 0-8 years old—check out our book clubs here! You can also see past books in our Bookshop.

Each Busy Little Book Club box includes a curated selection of 3-4 new hardcover or board books—diverse, inclusive, and whimsical stories chosen to help your child learn, grow, and play.

The Picture Book Club includes 3 hardcover picture books. The Board Book Club includes 3 board books. The Sibling Book Club includes 2 hardcover picture books and 2 board books.

All of our featured books are chosen with care and intention. We look for interesting, diverse, and inclusive stories that will help children learn and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Above all, we choose hidden treasures that are engaging and fun for children and parents alike!

The Play Guide is a digital accompaniment to your monthly books and includes exciting ways to connect with your child and bring together storytime and playtime. You can access each month’s Play Guide from your Account or by scanning the QR code on the insert in your box.

We work hard to find books off the beaten path, but if you do end up with a book you already own, send us a picture of you gifting or donating the book, and we’ll either credit your account $5 toward your next renewal or issue a $5 refund.

Our book clubs are ideal for children 0-8 years old, but your child may enjoy a subscription beyond those ages if they still read picture books. Choose from either a Board Book Club, Picture Book Club, or a Sibling Book Club for a mix of both.

Gift subscriptions are non-renewing subscriptions, so once your gift subscription ends, you’ll want to start a new subscription under your account.

No problem! This is one of the biggest reasons we offer a Sibling Book Club. If you have multiple children in different age ranges, the Sibling Book Club will allow you to receive both board books and picture books in the same subscription box.

Yes! The books are yours to keep and read again and again.

We do not currently sell books directly, but we do participate in affiliate programs through Amazon and Bookshop.org. Books listed in our Bookshop are linked through our affiliate relationship and can be purchased through those retailers. We do earn a commission if you complete a purchase using our affiliate link.

When you start your subscription, you’ll be billed at checkout. Renewal payments are processed on the 15th of the month according to the plan you selected at sign up.

For example, if you chose a monthly plan, you’ll be billed on the 15th of every month, but if you chose a 3 month renewing plan, you’ll be billed on the 15th of every third month.

Gift subscriptions do not renew.

Personal information such as your name, address, billing information, or payment method can be updated in your Account dashboard.

Cancelling your subscription is easy peasy!

Log into your Account, select your Subscription, and click the Cancel button. We want you to continue subscribing because you’re loving it, not because cancelling your subscription is hard.

Please note two important things!

  1. To ensure your first box ships accurately, subscriptions cannot be cancelled until at least 5 days after sign up.
  2. You’ll need to cancel at least 24 hours before the 15th of the month in order to ensure you aren’t charged.

We’ll certainly try! Subscriptions need to be cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal on the 15th of the month, but we understand life and tech happens. Please contact our support team so we can work with you.

We currently only ship to the continental United States of America.

Your first box ships in 2-3 days! Future boxes ship between the 1st and 4th of the month via USPS Media Mail and typically arrive within 2-8 business days. You’ll receive a notification email with a tracking number when your box has shipped.

Yes! This can be updated in your Account dashboard. Click on the Subscriptions tab and edit the subscription to update your shipping address. Please note that any shipping address updates need to be made before the 1st of the month.

Our goal is to send you books your kids will love to read again and again, but we know that sometimes we miss the mark. We don’t accept returns or offer refunds/credits for books, but we do encourage you to donate any books you don’t like to a friend, loved one, school, or local library.

If a book arrives damaged, please contact our support team with a photo of the book. We’ll work with you to send a replacement or find an alternative solution.

When your box ships (usually between the 1st and 4th of the month) you’ll receive an email with a tracking number. Please note that this email is automatically sent when a shipping label is created. Please allow our team until the 4th to finalize, pack, and scan in your package with USPS. Once received, it can take USPS up to 24 hours to update the tracking information.

If it hasn’t been 24 hours yet, wait and check again. Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for that to update. If it has been more than 24 hours, please contact our support team to report the issue.

We're so glad you asked! Every Busy Little Book Club box is itself a coloring activity. Every month you can enter to win a book from your child's wishlist by coloring the box, sharing it to social media, and tagging @busylittlebookclub. That's it! We'll choose our favorite every month. We give away free books in two different ways.

Our monthly box coloring contest allows children to win a free book by coloring their monthly box and sharing it to social media.

We also give away free books through the Busy Little Library program. Children can sign up to receive a free book, and for every new subscription to Busy Little Book Club, we donate a book to one of the children enrolled in the library program. Learn more about the program and enroll here.
